A pearl necklace is an accessory that never goes out of style; it's a classic staple for any jewelry collection! The real deal can be VERY expensive, but the good news is, there are plenty of faux pearls that look just as beautiful. Instead of sporting a storebought necklace (which can ALSO be pricey), you can easily create your own stunning pearl cluster necklace without any expertise and very little expense! Check out this tutorial that features various colors and sizes of pearls and Aleene's Jewelry & Metal Glue. What you need:
- Aleene's Jewelry & Metal Glue
- Faux pearls in assorted sizes and colors
- Ribbon (desired color)
- Freezer paper
Creating a pearl cluster necklace is easier than you think! No stringing required! Mix up the sizing and colors of your pearls for added interest, and choose any color of ribbon you like for the ties. Prep your work surface by laying a large piece of freezer paper down to help prevent your pearl cluster from sticking to your work surface.
Add a dot of Jewelry & Metal Glue to a larger pearl and press another pearl in place onto the dot of glue. Keep adding dots of glue to different sized and color pearls and gluing to the main cluster you are forming. Once your cluster is large enough to your liking, let dry completely.
Cut two strands of ribbon with enough length to comfortably tie around your neck once secured to the pearl cluster. Glue one end of each strand to the backside of each end of the cluster. Let dry completely.
Your new DIY pearl necklace is pretty enough to keep on display when you're not wearing it!
