Easy Costume for Women: Toy Story Barbie
Halloween is just around the corner, and if you’re looking for an easy costume for women, Annie Papi has you covered! This Toy Story® Barbie® inspired costume is so simple to make with just a few items and Aleene’s Fabric Fusion in your craft stash. Once you finish this quick costume, you’ll have enough time left to turn the rest of your fam into other characters from the cast!
What you need:- Aleene’s Fabric Fusion
- Blue sleeveless unitard
- Striped legwarmers
- Pink sash
- Flat-backed crystals
- Tweezers
- Sewing pins
Step 1
If you don’t know how to sew or don’t have time, don’t stress! What makes this such an easy DIY project is the Fabric Fusion. This glue dries permanent, washable and flexible, which is super important for this super stretchy, easy costume for women that requires extra movement because of the unitard fabric.
Step 2
First decide where on the unitard legs youd like the legwarmers to be, then measure so you make sure to get them nice and even. Glue each in place onto the unitard, using sewing pins to help hold in place while they dry. Gluing the legwarmers to the unitard will help hold them up so you don't have to worry about them sagging or falling while you're in costume!
Step 3
Next glue the sash in place around the waist. You can cut off the ends for a clean finish, or leave the ends loose on the back and tie into a bow if you prefer it that way while wearing.
Step 4
To finish this easy costume for women, Annie added a custom touch by gluing crystals in the shape of a heart onto the top portion of the unitard. You can do the same or get creative with your own costume! Once you've glued on all of the accents, let the costume dry completely before wearing.
