How to glue beads to a shirt; DIY Beaded Tee
Beading always looks so awesome on t-shirts and sweaters but who wants to spend all that time beading? Or pay for someone else to do it! Aleene’s Jewel-It glue is probably my favorite DIY trick, I always have a bottle handy. Anyone who knows me knows I’m not exaggerating, I really love this stuff! You can quickly and easily add beads, stones, and even metal backed stones onto most any type of fabric (even fuzzy sweaters). Keep reading to make your own!
What you need:
Supplies you’ll need:
T-shirt or sweater
Beads (2 sizes used here)
Stencil or design
step 1
I put my printed design inside my T-shirt and traced it with a pencil.
step 2
Use Aleenes Jewel-It Adhesive and fill in your design with glue.
I worked letter by letter starting on the right because I'm left handed. if you're right handed, start with the left side. This will keep you from accidentally smudging your glue.
step 3
If you are using two sizes of beads, put your larger beads first.
Then fill in with your smaller beads.
Really cover all of your glue with your beads.
Let your glue dry before trying to remove extra beads.
The most amazing part about Aleenes Jewel-It is that it really will hold those beads on. I've used it a lot on T-shirts and sweaters as a quick way to add lots of beads, and you can even wash it in cold water (NO DRYER) and they really will stay on. I think thats what I love so much about Jewel-It is how easy it is to use and that it really lasts.
