How To Glue Lace to Clothing
Give simple clothing a whole new look with a touch of lace! Gluing lace to fabric is so easy with a little help from Aleene's Quick Dry Fabric Fusion. That's right, no sewing needed! We embellished a tank top with lace, but this technique can apply to jeans, jackets, shoes and other fabric items as well.
What you need:- Aleene's Quick Dry Fabric Fusion
- Tank top/jeans/desired article of clothing
- Lace trim
- Scissors
- Sewing pins
Cut a strip of lace trim long enough to fit around neckline (or section of whatever item you are gluing the lace to).
Add a thin line of glue to fabric where you will be gluing lace and start pressing lace strip in place. Tip: less is more! Too much glue can oversaturate the fabric and cause it not to adhere to the lace.
Continue gluing lace in sections until desired effect is achieved.
Let dry completely. Tip: pin lace strip in place with sewing pins to help keep secure while drying.
