Last-Minute Couple's Cactus Costume
Looking for a last-minute couple's costume idea? Or just looking for something that's super easy to throw together and still looks fab? You've come to the right place! This last-minute couple's cactus costume is super easy to make in an afternoon with a few basic supplies and Aleene's Fabric Fusion. No sewing needed for a cactus costume you might just get stuck on wearing year after year.
What you need:- Aleene's Fabric Fusion
- Green sweatshirt (or you can do 2 green sweatshirts instead of a dress for the second costume)
- Green dress
- Green beanie
- Headband
- White chenille stems
- Assorted silk flowers
- Scissors
Make sure your sweatshirt and dress (or both sweatshirts if you're creating two instead of a dress) are clean (wash and dry without fabric softener).
Cut chenille stems into small pieces and bend into a V shape to create cactus needles. Glue in place randomly over front of sweatshirt and dress. Let dry completely.
Repeat gluing cactus needles randomly on beanie.
Glue faux flowers onto dress where desired.
Glue faux flowers to top of beanie. Glue flowers onto headband as well. Tip: hold in place with sewing needles or a clothespin while drying.
