Seashell art memory frame with Aleene’s Acid-Free Tacky Glue
Preserve your precious memories with Aleene’s! This simple craft from @kelly.oester is a unique way to memorialize your little one’s first trip to the beach with seashells, a picture frame, and Aleene’s Acid-Free Tacky Glue. Supplies needed:
Photo-sized paper
Brown paint
Picture frame
Seashells, assorted sizes
Step 1: Prepare the memory frame
Capture your little one’s handprint by applying a small amount of brown paint to their hand, then stamp it onto photo-sized paper to fit your picture frame. Once the handprint has dried, insert the paper into the picture frame. For this project, Kelly is using a rattan wicker picture frame to create a beach-inspired memory frame with seashell art!
Step 2: Arrange shells
Lay the memory frame flat and arrange the seashells atop the glass to fit onto the stamped handprint. Start your seashell art by placing larger shells first, then fill in the gaps as needed with smaller shells.
Step 3: Apply glue
Once you’re satisfied with the seashell placement, use Aleene’s Acid-Free Tacky Glue to secure your seashell art. For each shell, squeeze a small amount of Tacky Glue directly onto the glass, then press the shell into place.
Step 4: Display!
Once the glue has dried completely, your seashell art memory frame is ready to display! For an extra touch of personalization, try adding custom text to this DIY with a paint marker or embellish your memory frame with additional seashell art!
