Celebrate over 75 years of crafts with Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue! In 1950, Aleene Jackson broke barriers within the craft industry as she developed a specialty crafting adhesive, now known as “Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue.” She chose the iconic gold bottle that is still used today to reflect the premium quality of its contents: the gold standard of adhesives. Tacky Glue works on just about every surface: its thick, nontoxic tacky formula grabs items on contact and dries super strong, permanent, and clear, making it great for crafts, hobbies, DIYs, and household repairs. Features 1 (128 fl. oz.) bottle of Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue.

Always test for best results.
- On paper, cloth, and porous materials, spread or brush on a thin coat, press and let dry.
- On wood, pottery, and semi-porous materials, apply a heavy coat, compress with a heavy weight or clamp together, then let set 30-40 minutes.
- While glue is wet, remove excess glue with a damp cloth.
Dry time will depend on how much glue was used and the temperature and humidity level in your area. A general dry time estimate for this glue is 37-47 minutes based on testing with a 3-millimeter coating at 70-73 degrees Fahrenheit. Thicker applications will dry at a slower rate.

Fantastic Product!
"As a professional textile and mixed media artist it’s important to use reliable products. Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue works every time when needing to adhere layered textiles to canvas. I especially love that Aleene’s is easy to clean up from my brushes and occasionally canvas surfaces when the glue ends up in an unintended spot."

My favorite glue.
"I like this glue. I have been using it for about five years now for lots of different things. It hasn't let me down yet. I'm pretty sure I'll be a repeat customer of the economy jug size."

I have always liked Aleene's products
"I have been using tacky glue for years, as well as Mod Podge, Jewel-it adhesive and other products. I needed a permanent glue solution for some heavy- duty vinyl grass cloth wallcovering (I didn't mind that it may not come off if I remove the covering). The tacky glue worked like a charm! Wall looks great! All your products are great."

LOVE IT.
"HG glue, works well on almost anything -- wood, bamboo, fabric, felt, and I use it for metal leafing too. Open time not too long or too brief, quite grabby, easy to thin out with water when needed. One suggestion : I imagine most people buying the gallon size are using it to refill smaller more manageable bottles. This would be MUCH, MUCH easier if it were packaged in a gusseted plastic pouch with screwtop spout (like Method and other cleaning product mfgs use for dish soap/hand soap/detergent etc refills). Not only would it be simpler to decant (squeeze versus waiting for gravity to blorp out a fat gobby stream that overflows your target container's neck, necessitating either cleanup of the bottle or cleanup of a funnel -- or what I do, which is dump a bunch in a plastic baggie and use it like a frosting bag) -- but this would also make it easier to get every last bit out of the container, AND it would create less plastic waste, AND it would pack in cartons for shipping much more space-efficiently (and likely with slightly reduced weight, too), AND it would be a tremendous warehouse space-saver and shipping-saver. You guys probably get a dozen empty gallon bottles in a carton? Empty gallon pouches would probably pack ...50? 100? in the same space."
