Always test for best results.

  1. Apply a thin coat to surface.
  2. Let set until a skin forms.
  3. Apply a light second coat.
  4. Press fabrics together.
  5. Clean excess with a damp cloth.

Dry time will depend on how much glue was used and the temperature and humidity level in your area. A general dry time estimate for this glue is 37-47 minutes based on testing with a 3-millimeter coating at 70-73 degrees Fahrenheit. Thicker applications will dry at a slower rate.

My go to

"As far as temporary fabric glues go this is the best I use it all the time in my business"

Lisbet S. (5/5)

The very best fabric glue!

"Easy to use and washes out cleanly. I am a metal head and for awhile I was using school glue to hold my patches in place before sewing. But the school glue ended up leaving white stains on my clothes when run through the wash :( Aleene's is well worth the extra money, and one bottle lasts a long time! Never going back to school glue."

Lindsay T. (5/5)

Best wash-out glue for sewing poly ribbons down

"I have been using this glue for years to tack poly ribbons down to cotton fabric and then washing it out with the quick wash setting and a tiny amount of soap."
