Aleene’s Favorites: Fake Water with Clear Gel Tacky Glue
Creating fake water is easy with Aleene’s Clear Gel Tacky Glue— its nontoxic formula dries crystal clear and permanent! Artificial water is the perfect finishing touch for paper flower displays, and it can also be used for dioramas, décor, and a variety of other crafts. Supplies Needed:
Vase or container of choice
Liquid pigment (optional)
Artificial flowers
Step 1: Pour Clear Gel Tacky Glue into vase
For this project, we’re creating fake water for a paper flower display! Pour the Clear Gel Tacky Glue into a vase or your container of choice. If desired, mix in a few drops of liquid pigment to color your artificial water.
Step 2: Arrange flowers in fake water
Tap the container onto your work surface a few times to remove large air bubbles from your fake water. Place paper flowers into the artificial water, arranging them into a permanent display.
Step 3: Let dry and display!
Let the Clear Gel Tacky Glue dry completely— this can take up to 24 hours depending on the amount used for your fake water project. Once the glue has thoroughly dried, your artificial water is ready to display!
