Holly from Club Crafted shows you how to dress the part of your childhood favorite video game using Aleene's® Super Fabric Adhesive and felt on a simple black dress. Keep reading for this easy Halloween costume DIY that can be modified for any age.
What you need:- Aleene's Super Fabric Adhesive
- Black dress (or black garment like shirt/pants if you are modifying the costume)
- Felt (white, yellow, fuchsia, blue, orange, red)
- Scissors
- Sewing pins
- Tulip Dimensional Fabric Paint
- PAC-MAN® character patterns
First create your PAC-MAN character patterns on pieces of scratch paper. Tip: you can print shapes from online and trace, then cut out to use as a template. Pin your character shapes on different colors of felt (using yellow for PAC-MAN) and cut out.
Cut out circle shapes from white felt. It helps to layer the felt so you can cut out several at a time.
First decide where you would like your PAC-MAN shape to go. Apply Super Fabric Adhesive to the backside and press in place on your dress.
Decide where you would like your dots to go in order to create dotted lines along the front of dress that lead to other characters. Glue in place.
Continue gluing dots and characters, also gluing two white dots on each character for eyes. Tip: You can first lay out all of your dots and characters on your dress before gluing just to make sure you are happy with the layout. Then simply lift each at a time, add glue and press back in place.
Use Black Slick Dimensional Paint to create eyes on each of the characters except PAC-MAN. Let everything dry completely.
Whatever you decide to do this Halloween, you'll be winning in this easy no-sew PAC-MAN inspired costume!
