Supplies needed:

Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue

Cardstock, assorted colors
Scissors or cutting machine
Marker and pens

Gift card

Step 1: Cut shapes from cardstock

Use scissors or a cutting machine to create the cardstock shapes for your DIY gift card holders. This teacher appreciation gift idea features apple, book, crayon, lined paper, pencil, and star-shaped designs. Most gift cards are approximately 3 ½” x 2 ¼”, so be sure that your shapes are large enough to fit a gift card with space for glue.

Step 2: Add details

Use a pen and ruler to add details to your DIY gift card holders as desired. The lined paper and book designs will look especially great with this extra level of detail!

Step 3: Apply Tacky Glue

Use your Tacky Glue with the tip cut for thin application to apply glue to the edges of each shape. Each gift card holder is designed with a pocket to insert the gift card— do not glue the pocket completely shut!

Step 4: Assemble

Continue applying Tacky Glue and assembling your DIY gift card holders to create as many teacher appreciation gifts as you need. Place your DIY gift card holders under a flat, heavy object and allow them to dry completely.
