Boho Christmas Décor: DIY Pampas Grass Christmas Tree with Spray Sealer
Looking to add some rustic charm to your Christmas décor this year? We’ve got a DIY project for you! This pampas grass Christmas tree tutorial from Oh Yay Studio is the perfect boho Christmas décor idea. The best part? You won’t have to worry about falling tufts of foliage, thanks to Aleene’s Spray Acrylic Sealer!
What you need:Step 1
Gather the pampas grass (and other dried foliage, if using) for your pampas grass Christmas tree and lay them onto a flat protected work surface in a well-ventilated area.
Step 2Spray two or three light layers of Aleenes Spray Acrylic Sealer evenly across the dried foliage, allowing to dry for about 30 minutes between coats. This will seal the pampas grass while still maintaining its rustic, fluffy look! Flip the foliage over and spray to seal both sides. Allow to dry completely before proceeding.
Step 3Once the spray sealer has dried completely, its time to start putting together your pampas grass Christmas tree! Assemble your artificial Christmas tree and begin decorating from the top down. Fill in the tree with your sealed pampas grasses as desired, then add in smaller foliage pieces to fill the gaps. If desired, you can add a dab of Aleenes Original Tacky Glue to the base of each stem before placing it in the tree for a little extra security.
Step 4Once the tree is filled, you can personalize your pampas grass Christmas tree with even more decorations! Customize your pampas grass Christmas tree with lights, garlands, ornaments, and other boho Christmas décor for a homey holiday feel.
