Adorable and Affordable Vintage-Inspired Mirror

You’ve seen similar mirrors priced for hundreds or even thousands of dollars. But what if you could make it yourself for a fraction of the price? Brianna Brown shows us how to make a bold, vintage-inspired mirror that’s elegantly decorated with floral detailing using Aleene’s Wood Glue and COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paints!

What you need:

Aleene’s Wood Glue

- COLORSHOT Premium Spray Paint (This project uses First Million)

- Mirror

- Floral wood appliques

Step 1

Thoroughly clean your mirror from any dust and debris and gather supplies.

Before you get started on your project, thoroughly clean your mirror from any dust and debris and gather supplies.

Step 2

Secure wood appliques using Aleene’s Wood Glue

Use Aleene’s Wood Glue to secure the floral wood appliques to the corners and top of the mirror’s frame. Allow to dry fully for at least 24 hours

Step 3

Spray paint the mirror’s frame using several light coats.

Cover the surface of the mirror and use painter’s tape along the edges to avoid overspray. In a well-ventilated area, spray the mirror’s frame with several light coats of spray paint, letting dry between coats.

Step 4

Remove painter’s tape and surface covering

Allow the paint to cure for at least 24 hours. Then, remove the surface covering and painter’s tape from the mirror.

Step 5

Display your mirror

Lean the mirror against a wall and get ready to take some selfies! No one would guess that you made this gorgeous ornate mirror for under $100. It’s nice to be a baller on a budget!
